Humpty Would Love This

30 05 2008

Check out this beautifully designed egg-shaped office building which is scheduled to create a huge impact on the architectural world in 2010. Located in Mumbai, India, the 13 story structure will contain a rooftop garden to diffuse heat from the surface and bathrooms that have the ability to take users’ temperatures, blood pressure and body weight, then if necessary, send the information to a doctor. I’m serious, I’m not making this stuff up.

Kanye West - Flashing Lights Pt. 3

29 05 2008

Here is Kanye’s 3rd version for his song “Flashing Lights” off of his Graduation album. This one might be the most vague out of the three with the whole Clue x The Adams Family thing going. I likely the artistic direction but am left a little perplexed by its meaning.

Air Jordan Fusion III

28 05 2008

Let me make this perfectly clear; I absolutely abhor the hybrid Jordan x Air Force Ones that have been ever so popular in recent months. Now with that being said, I feel very embarrassed to say that I really like these shoes even though most Jordan purists will scream blasphemy when reading this. Even though the elephant print has become quite stale due to overuse over the past couple of years, its implementation here seems fresh. These are undoubtedly the best rendition of the whole Fusion idea. The first couple of colors are set to release on July 4th with the rest being released through September.

The Cool Kids

24 05 2008

With all of the hype and buzz surrounding this Mid-western duo, I thought that it only appropriate to shine the spotlight on them so people can see what this group is really about. Admittedly, I abhorred their first joint “Black Mags”, but after listening to this “freestyle” I changed my mind somewhat. I Just received a copy of their EP The Bake Sale and saw a little promise there but there is one problem, every song sounds exactly the same. From the content to the beats, The Cool Kids aim is to bring back the days of Eric B. and Rakim, but they fall decisively short and come off as guys who are just too cool to try and sound good on the mic. Every song has a laid-back feel but not in a jazzy sense, rather in a lazy one. Pick up the EP and form your own opinion but in the meanwhile, check out this freestyle.
